Mothers are being encouraged to enroll in further education, and President Obama and his government want to make it as financially easy as possible.
So they have increased the value of the Pell Grant, whilst also pushing it towards single mothers, working moms and anyone else who may not be a regular candidate for college.
Why Go to College?
Attending a higher education institution sets you up for a meaningful career that will last a life time.
You will be contributing to the economy (hence why the government wants you to do it), but the biggest benefit will be in your financial stability and the fact that you’ll have money to care for your family.
Your children will also feel encouraged seeing you study, and they gain inspiration and motivation to follow in your footsteps.
How to Qualify
There is no secret grant or scholarship that the government is offering mothers, despite some of the rumours going around.
What you can apply for is the Pell Grant.
This is a grant that has been around for many years and it is now worth over $5000.
It is especially suitable for moms like you as it is for low income students. Whether you have a part time job or are not working at all now, you may be able to qualify for this grant.
Simply fill in an FAFSA application and you will then hear back to see if you are eligible.
Obama’s ‘mom’s return to school’ government grant, otherwise known as the Pell Grant, is an excellent way to get money for your education.
